Austria`s parliament approved a new bill late on Tuesday that bans garments that totally cover the face of women, according to Al Jazeera. The provision was supported by both ruling parties and now means that anyone wearing full-face veils in public will be subject to a 150-euros ($166) fine beginning in October. The measure was first announced by Austria`s coalition government in January to counter the resurgence of the far-right and anti-Islam Freedom Party.
